ABOUT Bicycle Workshop

Bicycle Workshop is a specialist repair shop, that means we will take on any type of repair, and we will do repairs on bicycles that a lot of the other bicycle shops are wary of like those with hub gears and especially "Dutch" bicycles.

We also carry a very extensive range of spares and accessories. We try to concentrate on a lot of the components that are not as readily available but also have a good selection of the more easily obtainable as well. As a speciality we keep every Brooks leather saddle in stock and a stock of spares for them. A company rep we have known for years recently described the shop as "an Aladdin's cave for the bicycle enthusiast, complimented by friendly and experienced technicians".

If you want to buy a bicycle we may not be the shop for you, as we do not sell most bicycles, unless you want something a bit different and not available in every shop. We do the Brompton Bicycle and the Pashley bicycles to special order.

To get a repair or service done during the week booking is necessary – we think this is because we are so good at what we do – so we do not pre-book on Saturday and that is reserved for smaller jobs. However it is so popular that there is a queue before we open and we are full before 9:00
